An evening with string quartet music influenced by South-American and Irish folk, as well as Delta Blues and West African-inspired songs played by the poetic Roland Satterwhite. The quartet will perform their own arrangements of folk music, as well as their compositions. Especially for this collaboration, they arranged Roland's songs for this intimate setting.

The North Sea String Quartet is one of the most versatile string quartets of the Netherlands. Their blend of world music, combining their own compositions with improvisation, could be defined as folk-fusion. These are strings that will make you move.
Roland Satterwhite is an American violinist/violist, singer, and composer. As a violist and singer, he composes and fronts the Berlin-based band Tolyqyn. He also performs his original songs solo, or in collaboration with other artists. His songs are largely inspired by Delta Blues and West African Kora and Griot music traditions but have the authenticity of an artist who has found his unique voice.
